The Telfer Companies are committed to providing environmentally friendly products to maintain our roads and highways in California, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah.  Our group of companies provide products and services that utilize less natural resources without jeopardizing quality.  In fact many of our products, like TruPave® Engineered Paving Mat are fully millable and recyclable.  Another that reduces the strain on natural resources is Bonded Wearing Course.  This thin lift hot mix asphalt treatment is placed in thinner lifts, thereby using less materias while still providing a long lasting, smooth riding surface treatment.

Telfer's two newest offerings for environmentally consious agencies are Evotherm™ Warm Mix Asphalt by Mead Westvaco and FlexSeal Rubberized Asphalt Slurry Seal.  Evotherm™ allows hot mix asphalt to be produced and placed at temperatures well below standard mixes.  This creates a mix that flows more smoothly and can be placed at cooler temperatures and after longer hauls.  The lower mix temperatures also prevent age hardening and oxidizing of the binder during the production process which leads to a mix with increased fatigue resistance being placed on the grade.  FlexSeal on the other hand incorporates ground tire rubber into the slurry seal process.  This reduces the impact this waste stream can have on our environment while providing a slurry seal with higher asphalt conten and a longer life than standard mixes.  To read more about these products please view our "product" page.
